Frank entered the service 11 March 1943. He was with the 45th Infantry Division, 179th Infantry Regiment, Company "F". Date of death was 13 April 1945.

Frank legally changed his name from Behringer to Barringer shortly before entering the service because he thought that the spelling of Behringer looked and or sounded to German.

RECEIVED THE COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE, BRONZE STAR MEDAL, WWII VICTORY MEDAL, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND PARACHUTIST BADGE.
